I grew up between London, Dubai, and Calgary, studied economic anthropology at McGill, and ended up in motion design and film titles, which is a strange path into brand work. It turned out to be a good one. Anthropology teaches you that every group runs on shared signals, and design is how you build them on purpose.
I built and sold an agency, then spent years designing products and launches for Nike, Adobe, Samsung, Bio-Rad, MGM and more. With those clients I noticed that the brands stayed sharp because of their systems, not because leadership was watching. They knew their audience and their voice, and they had rules that let a thousand people make good calls without needing to ask permission.
Founders don't have that. You're building something hard, and you shouldn't have to spend your energy policing whether the deck, the site, and the product still feel like the same company.
